Rotary-Vane Waveguide Type:

  • Model 5451 direct reading, precision, continuously variable attenuators are accurate, stable and frequency insensitive. These attenuators utilizes the rotary vane principle of operation where attenuation is determined by the angle of rotation of an attenuating film fitted in a circular waveguide
  • These consists of a rotatable circular waveguide with attenuating film. Low-reflection transitions to rectangular waveguide are provided on both ends. Rotation of circular waveguide is calibrated in terms of attenuation as shown on the dial.
