Model 8181 are Waveguide Rotary Joints I, F, U, L Type are meant to transmit energy from a stationary RF line to a rotating RF line.

These consists of two sections of waveguide coupled together to provide minimum insertion loss. One arm is kept stationary and other arm may be rotated by 360°. A round scale with vernier is provided to read the angle of rotation.

These are available without round scale also.
